Michelle Williams biography
Michelle Williams was born on September 9th 1980 in Kalispell, Montana. She is the eldest of five children to her father Larry and mother Carla Williams. When Michelle was nine years old, her family moved to San Diego, California. From a young age, Michelle took an interest in acting and when she graduated high school she went on to pursue her acting career much to her parents disapproval.
Michelle's father, Larry, is a well respected city trader and has had a successful career in finance. He taught her about trading and at the age of 16 Michelle won the Robbins World Cup Trading Championship which her father had previously won in 1987. Over the course of 1yr, She managed to turn $10,000 into $110,00 which is the fourth highest gain in the competition.
Michelle, started her acting career in television. She starred in programs like Baywatch, Home Improvement and the 90's remake of Lassie. Her first major film role was in Species, where she played the childhood version of the main female character. It was from there that she then took on more film roles. In 1998 Michelle starred in the movie Halloween: H20 and it was after this that she was cast in the hit teen series Dawsons Creek as Jen Lindley. During the six season stint on the show Michelle starred in a number of indie films and it was once Dawsons Creek had ended that critics and film producers took notice of her and she was offered to star in full-length feature films such Brokeback Mountain, for which she earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
